Joining the 2010 Mazda CX-7 at the 2009 New York Auto Show is its bigger brother the 2010 Mazda CX-9. Besides a couple of cosmetic changes, Mazda made improvements to the performance, handling and safety of the 2010 CX-9.
Power for new CX-9 comes from a 3.7L V6 engine making 273-hp and a maximum torque of 250 lb-ft. The engine is mated to an Aisin-supplied 6-speed Sport AT automatic transmission with manual-mode as standard equipment.
When the 2010 Mazda CX-9 hits dealerships later this year, it will be available with front-wheel-drive as standard and with Mazda’s Active Torque All-Wheel-Drive available as an option.
